Professional Feedback 4

I need to make the portfolio images a little smaller so they fit without having to scroll to get to the menu options. I should consider more photo central things to write about in the "About" section: my photography philosophy, how I approach photography. I should organize my portfolio more, and try placing my images so they show up magazine style (edit in photoshop)- so next to each other. This will make the images stay the same size and won't have the view screen changing sizes as they click through my images. -Ben Kerns, Photography Instructor

Professional Feedback 3

He likes the flow of the website. After taking the suggestions from Barry Scharff concerning some of the site appearances, I changed my gallery style, which Ramey really liked. He suggested that the About section be removed, or have a resume attached via PDF link for clients (though I currently don't have the same kind of clients he has- those who would be interested in seeing a resume). He's not big on "about" pages, though he liked the portrait of me. He liked the contact page. His suggestions were that I add my logo to each page and possibly check out sitewielder.com to see what they have (he uses that hosting service). -Michael Ramey, Photography Instructor

Professional Feedback 2

He suggested a bit of color to make the page pop for my home page (not sure I want it, though, but maybe I'll change the page links). I need to have a different image than the one on my home screen as my first image on my portfolio page. Possibly lead in with the "painted" image. He then discussed various image improvements. He suggested I get rid of my current gallery viewer, which was the sliding images, which I have done. He said the rest looks good. -Barry Scharff - Photography Instructor/ Photoshop

Website Review by an Instructor

I had photography instructor, Jeff Parks, look at and critique my site. He enjoyed the flow, the large images that popped up to review, and the thumbnails (so people could go to what interested them). He liked the contact form but said to remove my rate from the site. He also suggested I get a "less pretentious" photo of myself on my site. (I'll probably not have one until I feel like taking new ones...a rare occur acne for me.) he suggested my home page have my first and last name as the logo instead of the first initial and last name. He also suggested a different colored block other than the white. I went with black instead.

My logo...or, at least one of them. Simple, classy. That's me!

Concept Statement Project

The users that may visit my site are: models modeling agencies friends fashion designers make up artists wardrobe stylists The users will want to see good quality photos of models which highlight their best features and show that these models are personable. My intended audience are models and modeling agencies. In order to persuade them to promote my website would be to send them links, have great images that catch the eye on my site, and to be affordable. My site goals are to attract models and modeling agencies to my work and hopefully have them hire me for their shoots. I don't really have an ultimate message other than I have a clean and classic photography style, and I specialize in male photography. I don't really have a story that I'm trying to tell. The assets I need to use to persuade my potential users would be as listed above. Indoor and outdoor shoots of both male and female models of various ages. No descriptive text necessary. My categories - actually, there will only be one, is Portfolio, as there is only one portfolio gallery that I really need, which will include work from both my portfolio book and additional images for people to view. I may later on include Beauty and Fashion to my gallery once I have done those. Jennifer

Site Map

Here is my site map.
Please note that for my images, I do not want a title, caption, or description for them. My site is a Portfolio only site, specifically geared towards those who want model portfolios. Thanks!
